Why?
Because instead of focusing on a bunch of rules, it focuses on you.
Your needs. Your goals. Your lifestyle.
80/20 Plants was developed by a team of plant-based nutritionists, athletes, and parents, each with our own unique stories.
We realized that our motivations for eating more plant foods were all different, and therefore, what our diets looked like in practice were also very much individualized.
The problem with most diet programs is that they don’t take your food and health history or goals into account, and instead try to make a bunch of generalizations.
If you look more closely at what building blocks make up plant-based diets that last, you’ll see they have three things in common:
- A diet consisting of plant foods.
- A focus on whole foods over processed foods.
- An emphasis on nutrient density.
And that following just these foundational guidelines account for about 80% of a healthy diet.
But then there was the other 20%…
The part of your diet where things looked very different depending on the person.
Athletes focus on certain types of foods, for example, while non-athletes don’t. Same for those of us trying to lose weight, or eating for long-term heart health.
This is the backbone of the 80/20 Plants philosophy…
An adaptable plan to help you maintain the core elements of healthy nutrition, and individualized support to create the perfect diet for you.
It’s that combination which makes 80/20 Plants so effective.
And right now — as you’re stuck at home doing the best you can to stay healthy — that personal 1-on-1 touch and support provide an essential boost of confidence and reassurance to ensure you’re successful at reaching your goals.
